Amul Innerwear eyes South India
Kolkata-based J G Hoisery Pvt Ltd, one of the oldest players in the innerwear garments sector, announced its foray into the South Indian market by launching its range of products under the brand name Amul in Karnataka.

Kolkata-based J G Hoisery Pvt Ltd, one of the oldest players in the innerwear garments sector, announced its foray into the South Indian market by launching its range of products under the brand name Amul in Karnataka.
"The demand for branded cotton undergarments is increasing in South India. We have set a sales target of Rs 15 crore from this market in the present fiscal," said company's director Navin Seksaria.
The company clocked a turnover of Rs 201 crore in 2007-08. The company has planned to up its production from 350,000 pieces per day to 500,000 pieces this year.
