Ashish Bagga appointed as Chairman, Delhi Regional Committee of INS
Ashish Bagga,Executive Director, India Today Group and an industry heavyweight has been appointed as Chairman, Delhi Regional Committee of INS.Speaking to exchange4media P K Lahiri, Secretary General-INS confirmed the appointment of Bagga and commented " Yes the appointment of Ashish Bagga comes into effect today."

Bagga comes in place of Rajan Kohli who recently exited out of Hindustan Times and hence his position at INS also.
The appointment was made by M.P. Veerendra Kumar, the President of INS. Bagga was already a member of the Executive Committee at INS and hence emerged as a natural choice. As Lahiri of INS confirmed this appointment is applicable with immediate effect. Earlier 12 weeks back exchange4media had reported Kohli taking over from DayAfter's publisher Sunil Dang as Chairman, Regional Committee.
The industry seems to be unanimous in welcoming the appointment of Bagga as the Chairman of DRC of INS as Bagga has a reputation of making a difference to any responsibility that he has been entrusted with. It will be interesting to see how Bagga's appointment brings dynamism and relief to the industry and particularly agencies in the northern region.
