The DNA is finally taking concrete shape. Ayaz Memon, National Sports Editor of The Times of India and former Editor of Bombay Times, will be the Editor of the new English daily that will be launched by the Zee-Bhaskar combine.

An enthusiastic Memon said, “I have around 8-10 days left with The Times, and shortly after that I will join as Editor of the new Zee-Bhaskar publication. I have enjoyed working for The Times as Editor of Bombay Times, and as a sports columnist. It’s now time to move on to a more exciting proposition.”

About the Zee-Bhaskar’s proposed newspaper, he said, “This particular daily is the newest kid on the block and the prospects look bright. We are currently building up the editorial team, and I am looking forward to the new mandate.”

Memon has previously been Editor of Mid-Day and Cricket Talk.
