McCann Worldgroup's campaign for publishing group Penguin Group (India) Audiobooks titled 'William Shakespeare', 'Mark Twain' and 'Oscar Wilde' clinched 2 Gold Lions in the Art Direction and Publications & Media sub-category.
Taproot’s Farmers’ Suicide campaign for Times of India and Grey’s Positive & Negative campaign for Procter & Gamble's Duracell Batteries got 1 Gold each.
Taproot’s Farmers’ Suicide campaign and Leo Burnett’s campaign for Tide detergent received 1 Silver Lion each.
Pepsico's Gatorade product titled 'Push Ups with Claps' done by Taproot and DDB’s campaign for PE Electronics got 1 Bronze Lion each.
O&M’s campaign for Philips Electronics India's LED Torch won 2 Bronze Lions in the Home Appliances & Furnishings and Art direction sub-category. This campaign has three creatives in it, namely, Forest, Gorge and Alley.
O&M also grabbed a Bronze Lion for Dog Adoption.
There were 37 Indian shortlisted entries out of a total of 492 shortlisted entries, as opposed to 31 entries last year. Last year, India fetched 1 Silver and 3 Bronze in Press Lions.
The Press Lions Jury President is Marcello Serpa, Partner, CCO, AlmapBBDO, while Santosh Padhi, Chief Creative Officer & Co-Founder, Taproot is on the Jury from India.
A total of 5,711 entries were received from 77 countries, which shows a decrease of 6 per cent compared to last year. India submitted a total of 257 entries this year, as compared to 266 entries last year.
