Dentsu Marcom has added yet another feather to its cap. The four-month-old agency has bagged the exclusive creative duties of consumer electronics giant Sony for its IT products. Speaking to exchange4media.com, Rajesh Aggarwal, COO and Executive Vice-President, Dentsu Marcom, explained, “We will be handling the entire creative duties of Sony-IT which is all set to make a foray into the IT sector in India by launching its PCB TFT-LCD flat computer monitors.”

Aggarwal added, “Sony is known for superior technology which is what will be leveraged for the product by applying a top-end premium brand equity strategy.”

Dentsu Marcom is also handling special projects for Sony. However, Aggarwal refused to disclose the account size, beyond saying that it would be “reasonably sized” as extensive below-the-line activities would be involved.

The start-up agency has bagged some major assignments like Vatika City, a Rs 5-crore real estate project in Gurgaon, Honda cars and scooters, and Sony Erickson mobile handsets. It has also been assigned to do the corporate campaign for Tata group’s centenary celebrations.
