Indrani Sen, Vice President-Brand Planning and Communications, Emami Group, has put in her papers. A versatile advertising person, Sen began her career in the early ’70s in market and media research with IMRB, and then moved to Clarion in Kolkata. From the mid-70s, she spent a decade in Mumbai in media planning with agencies like Inter Publicity, Ulka and Contract, working her way up to becoming Media Director.
Sen returned to Kolkata in the mid-80s to take up the challenging assignment of setting up Ram Ray’s new agency Response, in a general management role as Commercial Director, before joining the media department of JWT (then HTA) in 1988. She spent 17 years with JWT.
Indrani said, “I had a very enriching experience during my three year-stint at Emami. I am taking a break for a couple of months for personal reasons. As regards to my future engagement plans, I will decide only by March 2008.”
