Leroy Alvares, Head of iContract’s Mumbai branch (Contract Advertising’s one-to-one marketing arm), has put in his papers, according to informed sources. Alvares is set move in as head of Tribal DDB India, Mudra’s digital arm, replacing CVS Sharma (Venke) who has resigned.

When contacted, R Lakshminarayanan, CEO, Mudra Marketing Services, neither denied nor confirmed the news. An official communiqué is expected from Mudra on Monday, June 19, 2006.

Alvares handled client servicing at Ogilvy before he joined iContract as an account executive almost six years back. He was responsible for changing the face of iContract when he was the Bangalore head. One of his significant wins was bagging the Wipro account for iContract. Alvares then moved back to Mumbai, where he was Associate Vice-president and Head of iContract in Mumbai.
