Maheshwar Peri takes over as new AIM President; new Governing Body in place

Outlook Group’s Maheshwar Peri has taken over as AIM’s new President, replacing India Today’s Ashish Bagga. CyberMedia’s Pradeep Gupta will be the new VP, while Devashish Sarkar from World Wide Media will be General Secretary. Delhi Press’ Paresh Nath will continue as Treasurer, while exchange4media Group’s Anurag Batra has been elected to the new post of Convenor-Events.

At the conclusion of the Association of Indian Magazine (AIM) Conference, Paresh Nath, Treasurer, AIM, and Editor-Publisher, Delhi Press Magazines, unveiled the new committee and office bearers for the next two years. Ashish Bagga, CEO, India Today Group, handed over the President’s post to Maheshwar Peri, Publisher, Outlook Group. Nath will continue as Treasurer of AIM.

Pradeep Gupta, CMD and Publisher, CyberMedia, will be the new Vice President. Devashish Sarkar, CEO, Worldwide Media, has been elected General Secretary, while Anurag Batra, MD and Editor-in-Chief, exchange4media Group, has been elected to the new post of Convenor-Events.

The new Governing Body for AIM will comprise Bagga, Anant Nath of Delhi Press, Pheroza Bilimoria of Business India, Smiti Ruia of Paprika Media, Shyam Malhotra of Data Quest, Prakash Iyer of Infomedia, Bringi Dev of IDG Media, R Rajmohan of Images Multimedia, Vivek Gaur of India Today, Shrenik Mehta of Harmony, B Srinivasan of Anand Vikatan, Vemuri Balaram of Swati, Mitrajit Bhattacharya of Chitralekha, Hoshang Billimoria of Next Gen, and Rajiv Pahwa of Meri Saheli.
