Monster.com’s Sameer Sikka joins India Today Group Digital as National Sales Head

Sameer Sikka has joined the India Today Group for its digital venture India Today Group Digital (ITGD) as National Sales Head. Sikka comes in from Monster.com where he was the head of North region. Sikka would report to COO Sanjoy Narayan at ITGD.

Monster.com’s Sameer Sikka joins India Today Group Digital as National Sales Head

Sameer Sikka has joined the India Today Group for its digital venture India Today Group Digital (ITGD) as National Sales Head. Sikka comes in from Monster.com where he was the head of North region. Sikka would report to COO Sanjoy Narayan at ITGD. A website by ITGD would showcase the Group’s properties under one umbrella. The Group now plans to give a new thrust on syndication and is gearing up for a strong team. Prior to Monster.com, Sikka was with Sify and was responsible for some of the key accounts.

Speaking on his new responsibility, Sikka said, “The India Today Group was always into print and thereafter ventured into the audio visual media, and then FM radio. This is a new venture on to the online business where there is a lot of potential. Online media has a future as majority time is spent online, as compared to print media. The Group’s forte has been in print and that has reflected on to the online business, in terms of getting advertising.”
