Judges present at Emvies 2007 said that the quality of entries has improved tremendously. Some of the judges this year, on the first day of the presentations, included LV Krishnan from TAM and Narayan Gad from Paneca Biotech.

Krishnan said, “I am finding that the quality of entries has only improved from last year. The kind of entries that have come in are really good, and there is an increased integration between the creative and the media branding side of advertising.”

Gad also felt that the quality of entries had improved. “There is a marked difference in the kind of entries that we have received, which is a great thing,” he said.

Bipin Pandit, General Manager, Advertising Club Bombay, said, “I think the reason for the entries improving is the increase in competition.” Pandit added that the judging is always done by those outside the media. “That helps in the process to be more transparent,” he added.
