Rajiv Jaitly joins Indian Express as President, Marketing

Rajiv Jaitly has joined Indian Express as President, Marketing. He has taken charge from today. Prior to joining Indian Express, Jaitly was with Dainik Bhaskar Corp (DB Corp) as President, Marketing and Ad Sales. He had joined DB Corp in early February 2008, taking over the function from Girish Agarwal, Director, DB Corp.

Rajiv Jaitly has joined Indian Express as President, Marketing. He has taken charge from today. Prior to joining Indian Express, Jaitly was with Dainik Bhaskar Corp (DB Corp) as President, Marketing and Ad Sales. He had joined DB Corp in early February 2008, taking over the function from Girish Agarwal, Director, DB Corp.

At DB Corp, Jaitly had managed strategic marketing and ad sales for group’s media business. He had led and brought about synergies between state and national sales to leverage the Group’s strengths.

Confirming the news, Geetanjali Pandit Gupta, Head of HR, Indian Express, said, “Jaitly has joined the Express Group as President, Marketing, and has stepped into his new role from today.”

Jaitly has 23 years of professional experience in the media, FMCG and telecom industries. He holds a Master’s degree in business administration with specialisation in marketing from Long Island University and had begun his career with Citicorp, New York, as a management trainee. He had earlier worked with Modi Xerox, Star TV, MESAT Broadcast Network System, Pepsi Foods, Data Access, and Bharti Airtel.

Jaitly was CEO, Punjab circle at Bharti Airtel. It was during his tenure at Bharti Airtel that Delhi became the first circle to achieve a million customers.
