Rediffusion DYR has won the creative duties of the GSM business of Samsung India. Sources close to the development put the account size at Rs 8-10 crore.

Speaking on this development, Ramesh Srivats, Executive VP & Branch Head - Delhi, Rediffusion DYR, said, “We are excited with this win. This not only is an endorsement of our brand-centred approach where deep meaning combines with breakthrough ideation to create magic. We are looking forward to a mutually beneficial association."

Commented Asim Warsi, Marketing Head, Samsung India, “Samsung Telecommunications is poised for a business turnaround in the second half of 2007 and beyond. This growth is expected because of our strong business initiatives, and the brand marketing initiative would be pivotal. To help the brand surge forward, Samsung Telecommunications has brought Rediffusion DYR on board in addition to in-house agency Cheil Communications. Rediffusion DYR would undertake the development of a critical marketing campaign in Samsung’s line-up of marketing campaigns for the second half of the year. The campaign would bring a new freshness and bounce to the brand image of Samsung Mobiles in India.”

Warsi explained that the GSM campaign will be 360 degree which will include print, TVC, outdoors, Internet and below-the-line activities.
