Reliance Super Football League is scouting for a creative partner, confirmed industry insiders. The multi-agency pitch for the creative duties is underway in Mumbai.

McCann Erickson, Leo Burnett and Ogilvy are participating in the pitch.

In 2010, Reliance Industries formed an alliance with US sports marketing company called IMG for the right to run tournaments by the All India Football Federation. Reportedly, Mukesh Ambani paid a sum of Rs 7 billion ($156 million) for the deal, which earned him the right to manage the League for 15 years.

It may also be noted that McCann Erickson handles the creative duties of Reliance-owned Mumbai Indians, which it won from Ogilvy. Will this give the agency an edge?
