The creative duties of ABP Bengali magazines have shifted to Response Kolkata, with effect from this month. This has been a long-standing Bates account, dating back to the Clarion days.
Sidhartha Roy, Executive Director, Response India, confirmed that this account shift happened without a pitch. “Given our competency in Bengali language advertising, we were always confident that we could do good work on the ABP products. We look forward to showcasing good Bengali work in tandem with a group that has been the leading light of all Bengali communication that happens anywhere”, added Roy.
Avik Dey, Head - Bengali Magazines at ABP, explained, “Ram Ray and his agency Response are big names in Bengali advertising. We liked their approach and hope to see some fresh thinking in the new campaign that should break in June.”
Said Avik Dey, "The primary reason for this shift is due to our group's policy of working accross agencies to harness the best talents available in Kolkata."
The ABP Bengali magazines portfolio is a pot-pourri that spans a high-brow Desh, the lifestyle and entertainment magazine Anandalok, a teens oriented Unish Kuri, Anandamela for school-goers, and the pioneering women’s fortnightly, Sananda. Besides the regular issues, several of these magazines also have very popular Puja numbers.
