Real Global Broadcasting (RGB), the joint venture between Alva Brothers and Turner
Real Global Broadcasting (RGB), the joint venture between Alva Brothers and Turner, has decided to name its Hindi general entertainment channel ‘Real’. RGB is targeting March 2009 as the deadline to launch the channel. It is understood that the channel would focus 40 per cent of its content on reality programmes, and the rest 60 per cent would be on fiction shows.
The logo of the channel is a circular green coloured bug.
The channel will launch with four driver shows leading to three hours of original programming every day. One of the driver shows at launch is called ‘Poker Face’ that is designed as a one week show. This slot of this show would then house another reality show at the end of the week that would then go on for 15 weeks.
Two fiction shows on the channel are called ‘Viki ki Taxi’ and ‘Hindi Hain Hum’. RGB is in the process of giving details of its channel at a press briefing in Delhi later today.
