Sandeep Goel to join Zee Sports as VP for its sponsorship business
Zee Sports has appointed Sandeep Goel as Vice President for its sponsorship business. He comes to Zee Sports from GroupM Sports, where he was National Business Director.
Zee Sports has appointed Sandeep Goel as Vice President for its sponsorship business. Goel’s appointment is effective from July 16. His last stint was with GroupM Sports as National Business Director where he spent two-and-half years. His main role at Zee Sports will be to look after sports sponsorship in football, cricket, golf, etc.
On taking up his new assignment, Goel said, “The reason I moved out was that I wanted to look at bigger opportunities where sports are given 100 per cent focus. I want to give sports sponsorship opportunity to various clients around India.”
Goel has earlier worked at Maxus as Business Director, where he spent two-and-half yearsn and handled the Hero Honda business. He was also in charge of other accounts such as Reebok and Hindustan Times at Maxus. He has also spent six years at JWT as Media Director, whereby he worked on accounts like Nestle, Hero Honda, Monte Carlo, Hero Cycles, etc. He has earlier worked with Mudra Ahmedabad as Media Supervisor.
