Shamik Talukdar, Associate Vice-president with Sony, has put in his papers. He is joining Times OOH from the first week of November as National Business Head and will be based in Mumbai. In his new role, Talukdar will be looking after overall sales in Times OOH n addition to acquisitions and product development.
Commenting on Talukdar’s appointment, Times OOH CEO, Farid Qureshi, said, “Talukdar will be looking after revenue functions of the company. He will be joining us from beginning of next month.”
Talukdar said, “The reason for my shift is that outdoor is an extremely important space. It was an unorganised sector, but with corporates coming in, it is getting organised and there’s a big boom in this sector.”
In Sony, Talukdar was looking after sales for the North and East regions. He had earlier worked with Radio Mirchi as Sales Head for two and a half years. He was also with STAR, where he looked after STAR Plus for two and a half years, in Indiya.com, where he was Manager for one and a half years.
