Special focus on India at NABShow 2009 to be held at Las Vegas on April 18-23

The NABShow, organised by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), a US-based eight decade old organisation, will be held at Las Vegas from April 18-23, 2009. The focus would be on India this year, with a Super Session on April 22, titled ‘India: Transitioning to a Digital Future’, besides an India pavilion.

The NABShow, organised by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), a US-based eight decade old organisation, will be held at Las Vegas from April 18-23, 2009. The NABShow is the world’s premier marketplace for new product introductions and the single largest annual gathering of the electronic media industry.

As the official partner in India for the NABShow for the second time, the Indo-American Chambers of Commerce (IACC) is taking a high profile delegation to the trade show this year. Farokh T Balsara, Partner - Media and Entertainment Practice, Advisory Services Leader-Technology, Communications and Entertainment (TCE) Sectors, Ernst & Young, will lead this delegation comprising Indian media and entertainment professionals.

Briefing about the NAB delegation taken by IACC, its Secretary General, RK Chopra, informed that the focus would be on India at the NABShow 2009, with a Super Session on April 22, titled ‘India: Transitioning to a Digital Future’, besides an India pavilion at the content central hall of the exhibits area, which is reserved exclusively for Indian companies.

On this occasion, IACC will also publish a Resource Directory for NABShow 2009, featuring information about the Indian delegation. Exhibits in the NABShow would open on April 20.
