STAR Ananda officially launches on June 6

Media Content & Communications Services India Pvt. Ltd (MCCS), a 74:26 per cent joint venture between ABP TV and Star Group that manages the Star News channel, has decided to officially launch its 24-hour Bengali news channel 'Star Ananda' on June 6, 2005. However, the dry run for the channel with original programming begins on June 1, 2005 itself.
The teaser campaign for the channel broke yesterday, May 29, 2005. As was reported by exchange4media on May 2, 2005, the creative communication for the channel is being handled by Bates Kolkata.
Though ABP Group officials are tightlipped about the launch details, yet the sources in the know informed that “all is as planned” for the channel’s launch.
