Ten Indian finalists at Clio 2006; JWT Slim looks to score with five
JWT’s Slim campaign for Levi’s is proving to be a big draw at award fests. Five of the 10 finalist nominations from India at Clio 2006 are for this campaign, and the other Indian finalist entries are from Saatchi & Saatchi (2), JWT (Chennai), Brand David, and O&M.
JWT’s Slim campaign for Levi’s is proving to be a big draw at award fests. Five of the 10 finalist nominations from India at Clio 2006 are for this campaign, and the other Indian finalist entries are from Saatchi & Saatchi (2), JWT (Chennai), Brand David, and O&M.
The Levi’s Slim work has two nominations in the TV / Cinema competition, and one of them is in the Apparel / Fashion category while the other is under Music - Original. Two of the Slim Figure print entries (singles) are also among the finalists. In the Posters competition too, the work is among finalists in the Campaign section.
JWT’s Chennai office is also in the running, with the Cannes-winning ‘Give’ for Indian Red Cross among the finalists in Print.
Saatchi & Saatchi’s mind blowing ‘Corners’ campaign for clients Ariel detergent finds itself in two finalist slots. The two singles in the running are ‘Painter’ and Tea Man’. Brand David’s Radio jingle for Nitco Tiles is in the running too, with the entry ‘Oh Carol’. O&M is in with a Poster Single, ‘Birds’, for clients Art Centre.
All the finalist entries from India have been recognised at several international award festivals, and there are no surprises.
The awards festival is to be held from May 13 to 16, 2006, at Miami. As reported by exchange4media, Avinash Baliga, Junior Copywriter, Contract Advertising, Mumbai, is in the running for an award in the Future Gold competition.
