In a development that highlights ongoing leadership changes at Cheil SWA, Umesh Bopche has stepped down from his role as Chief Executive Officer of Experience Commerce, the group’s digital and experience-led marketing arm.

His departure comes just months after Jitender Dabas exited as CEO of Cheil X in February 2026, further fuelling discussions around leadership stability within the agency network.

Multiple industry sources confirmed the development to e4m, indicating that Bopche’s exit marks another phase of transition for the agency group as it navigates leadership restructuring across its business verticals.

While there has been no official word on Bopche’s next move, industry observers note that his departure represents a significant shift for Experience Commerce, which has played a central role in strengthening Cheil India’s digital and integrated marketing capabilities.

In January 2026, Cheil Worldwide appointed marketing veteran Sungkyoon Kim as President and Chief Executive Officer of Cheil South West Asia (SWA), marking a significant leadership transition for the Samsung-backed advertising and marketing network in the region.

Experience Commerce declined to comment on Bopche’s exit.
