Vodafone to conclude global media review by July-end
Telecom giant Vodafone, which is in the process reviewing its global media business, is expected to reach a decision on its media agency soon. In India, the business is handled by Maxus, and the account size is pegged in the vicinity of Rs 150-200 crore.
Telecom giant Vodafone is in the midst of reviewing it global media business. The review process that had kicked off globally almost a month back saw the presentation rounds taking place in India in the last two weeks. Even as Vodafone officials couldn’t be contacted at the time of filing of the report, it is believed that the company is looking at consolidating its global media business with one agency.
At present, the business is handled by agencies such as OMD and Carat in various markets. In India, Vodafone’s media partner is Maxus. Industry sources peg Vodafone’s account size in India in the region of Rs 150-200 crore.
Sources close to the development informed that Vodafone would take a decision on its media partner by July-end 2009.
