WPP has refused an offer from private equity firm KKR to acquire a majority stake in FGS Global, its public relations company, said media reports.
KKR would have become the majority owner of FGS if the bid was successful.
As per reports, KKR's offer was higher than what FGS was at the time of the equity firm's investment in 2023 but it was still rejected for "being too low".
Headquartered in New York, FGS Global is a advisory and communications consultancy with over 1,200 experts, the company's official website says.
The company was formed by merging consultancy firms Finsbury Glover Hering and Sard Verbinnen.
