Senior journalist Ajay Kumar has resgned as the Managing Editor of News Nation. The news was confirmed by Kumar to Samachar4media, e4m's sister concern. He did not give any reason for his resignation nor did he say anything about his next professional move.
Kumar said he joined the channel in 2013 and was a member of the launch team. Before joining News Nation, Kumar was associated with TV Today Network and was Channel Head at Aaj Tak.
Kumar informed about his decision to move on through a message.
"I have resigned from my present duties and responsibilities at News Nation. Being part of the core team that launched the channel, a team of super professionals who have worked hard with dedication to reach great heights, I must say I have had a rocking time with all of you. Starting from scratch to reaching 11% market share in Jan 2019 in a highly competitive market is no joke, and we all did it," read the message.
"I thank personally all, with whom I have interacted at personal level and those whom, I met virtually, for their cooperation and goodwill. By God’s grace, I think, I am one of the few TV professionals to have been part of the core team that launched three successful TV News Channels – Aaj Tak, Star News & News Nation," it added.
