BBC's Ann Sarnoff appointed as new CEO of Warner Bros
Sarnoff will replace Kevin Tsujihara and report to WarnerMedia CEO John Stankey
WarnerMedia has named President of BBC Studios America, Ann Sarnoff as the new Chief Executive Officer of Warner Bros, according to news reports. Sarnoff will become the first woman to head the company in its 96-year old history.
Sarnoff will replace Kevin Tsujihara, who exited the company in March and she will report to WarnerMedia CEO John Stankey. Sarnoff will be heading one of the industry’s largest production operations spanning film, TV, digital, video games and consumer products.
According to reports, WarnerMedia CEO, John Stankey said in a statement, "Ann has shown the ability to innovate and grow revenues and has embraced the evolution taking place in our industry".
Sarnoff has also held top executive positions at the National Basketball Association, Viacom and Dow Jones.
