BW HealthcareWorld’s much-anticipated Annual Oncology Summit is scheduled to take place on May 9th, 2024, at The Imperial Hotel, New Delhi. With the theme "From Fear to Empowerment," the summit aims to provide support, knowledge, and empowerment to cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and family members of the people who are bravely battling Cancer.  

The primary objective of the Summit is to instil confidence, offer vital support, and disseminate cutting-edge knowledge to Cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and other stakeholders in the field of Oncology. By bringing together more than 8 knowledgeable sessions and over 35 eminent speakers, the summit promises to be a transformative experience for all attendees.

The event will witness the presence of some of the biggest names in Oncology under one roof. Many senior-most Padma Shri awardee oncologists from the country will be speaking at the Oncology Summit. Keynote sessions and panel discussions will be held on the topics around cancer care, treatment, and the recent technological advancements in the Oncology field. The summit will witness participation from industry experts, oncologists, cancer support groups and representatives from government and non-government entities. The agenda includes interesting activities like a tug of war between the patients and doctors and art jam.

One of the main highlights of the event is the Ramp Walk - "Walk Towards Freedom" which is one of the most unique ramp walks by cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, doctors, and nurses, symbolising unity, strength, and resilience to fight cancer together. Walk Towards Freedom symbolises the freedom to get knowledge, the freedom to get support and the freedom to have open conversations about Cancer.

The summit will encompass a wide range of focus areas, including global initiatives to curb cancer, advancements in diagnostics, evolution of treatment protocols, post-surgery care and rehabilitation, understanding and providing mental well-being, and recognising the indispensable role of caregivers as well as doctors. The human side of the treatment, providing confidence, understanding dilemma and confusion and the role of doctors as a messenger of hope - are some of the topics that will also be discussed.  Some cancer survivors will narrate their inspiring stories about their fight against cancer.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions from the biggest and most renowned oncologists, heads of cancer support groups, patients and their families, survivors, therapists, out-of-hospital care providers, medical equipment companies, and hospital services providers.

The esteemed panel of speakers includes prominent names from the different fields of Oncology landscape, each bringing their expertise and insights to the forefront. Dr. Annurag Batra, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, BW BusinessWorld and Founder of exchange4media, will set the tone for the summit with his visionary perspective on Cancer Care.

Healthcare industry stalwarts DS Negi, CEO of Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre and Dr. Girdhar Gyani, Director General of the Association of Healthcare Providers (India) will give keynote addresses during the day. Dr. Anil Kumar Anand, Senior Director and Head of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram, Dr. Anupam Sachdeva, Chairman- Department of Paediatrics & Director Paediatric Hemato-Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplant, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, will offer invaluable insights into cutting-edge treatments and advancements in the field.
