Supriya Sahu, Doordarshan Director General, has stepped down. The development was confirmed by a recent tweet from her.

Sahu posted on Twitter, ‘Last day in DD as Director General #Doordarshan. Deep gratitude to everyone as I say Good Bye to the iconic broadcaster of India after completing my 3+ years tenure. Heading back to Tamilnadu, my cadre, to begin a new journey. Thank You for amazing support & love. Stay Connected’

Sahu has earlier served as the director at I&B ministry and later got promoted to the post of joint secretary.
