Essence’s Kyoko Matsushita elevated as Global Chief Executive

Essence has elevated Kyoko Matsushita as the Global Chief Executive, as per media reports. She takes the place of Christian Juhl who was recently named the Global CEO at GroupM.
Matsushita was also recently named Global Chief Client Officer and Chief Executive for Essence in APAC.
She will be now working from San Francisco and will still report to Juhl. Matsushita will assume her new role from October 1.
“I am deeply honored to have the opportunity to lead this truly exceptional agency at a time when data and technology give us so much potential to unlock value for our clients,” Matsushita was quoted as saying in news reports.
