Subway Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Joe Tripodi has announced his retirement, according to media reports. The interim CMO at Subway will reportedly be Ampersand’s Roger Mader.

Tripodi has a marketing career of 40 years, spanning companies such as Mobil Oil, MasterCard, The Bank of New York, Allstate and Coca-Cola. He had been the CMO of Subway since January 2016. 

Reports quoted Tripodi as saying that, “this was one of the most challenging jobs I’ve ever had because it was a privately held company that had lived in a little bit of isolation for many years.”
Tripoli is a The Harvard and London School of Economics graduate.
