Rajiv Mishra has been appointed Director of International School of Media and Entertainment Studies (iSomes), based at Noida, promoted by BAG Films in collaboration with the School of Journalism, University of Missouri, USA. He will also spearhead the company’s New Media business (mobile value added) initiatives. Mishra brings a rich experience of over 16 years in the field of media. Some of his earlier assignments include working for Digital Media Entertainment Inc. as Sr. VP-Programming; Reliance Infocomm as GM; TV Asia as Sr. VP; and Star TV (DTH) as Sr. Manager.

Should newspapers be classified on the basis of sexually explicit material contained in them similar to censor board categorising films for viewers? A PIL raising this question was today taken up for hearing by the Supreme Court and a Bench comprising Chief Justice R C Lahoti, Justice G P Mathur and Justice P K Balasubramanyan issued notices to the Centre, Press Council of India, news agencies - PTI and UNI, and leading dailies 'Times of India' and 'Hindustan Times'.
