Cannes Lions 2017: India wins 1 Silver in Innovation, 2 in Direct to take metals tally to 24
The latest win takes India's total metal tally to 24. India had won 27 metals last year.
Day 3 at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity saw India win three Silver Lions, two in the Direct category and one in Innovation. India’s sole selected entry in Innovation Lions – Leo Burnett’s ‘Roads that Honk’ – gave India its first ever metal, a Silver, in the Innovation category. Meanwhile, out of the eight shortlisted entries from India in Direct Lions, two made it to the winner’s list – Taproot Dentsu for ‘Adidas Odds’ and McCann Health for ‘Immunity Charm’. In the remaining two categories – Creative Data and Mobile – winners for which were also announced on Tuesday, India had not made it to the shortlist.
