Publicis Ambience, Publicis India & 2 from Leo Burnett shortlisted in Promo Lions
Promo Lions have four Indian works that have made the cut. These include one each from Publicis Ambience and Publicis India, and two from Leo Burnett India. In all, India had entered 47 entries in this category, an increase of 17 entries as compared to last year.
Of the 47 works that were entered from India in the Promo Lions category this year, only four have proceeded to compete for the Lions. Last year, Indian agencies had entered only 30 works in this category.
The Publicis Group has two entries in the Promo Lions category. Publicis Ambience has an entry shortlisted in the Event and Field Marketing category. This is for work done for the advertiser Wespro Digital, entry titled ‘Sports Capture’. Publicis India has one entry shortlisted for the work done for the advertiser In Gandhi’s Shoes, entry titled ‘Let Gandhi Talk’.
Leo Burnett India has two entries shortlisted in this Promo Lions too – one is in the category Alternative Media: Small Scale for the work done for Rotary International, entry titled ‘Pumping Heart’. The second one is Fast Moving Consumer Goods category, for the advertiser Procter & Gamble’s Tide – entry titled ‘Stainbroidery’.
William Rosen, Chief Creative Officer, North America, Arc Worldwide, is the jury president for this category. Atul Nath, MD, Candid Advertising is the Indian juror in this category. The Promo Lion per se has seen an increase of 1.4 per cent in the entries. The winners would be awarded on June 22, 2009. The five-day judging process for this category ended on June 21, 2009.
