Amazon is handing out pink slips to hundreds of employees from Prime Video and MGM Studios divisions, media reports say.
The company has said the layoffs are part of the need to prioritise investments for long-term success.
As per reports, the affected employees based in the US will be informed today and those in other regions by the end of this week.
In May last year, it was reported that Amazon laid off at least 500 employees in India in the Amazon Web Services, HR and support functions
