Google has acquired Elastifile, an Israeli-US company, through Google Cloud, news reports said. Elastifile provides scalable enterprise storage for the cloud.
The acquisition is said to be worth around $200 million.
Elastifile has come up with a cloud storage solution to make server farms more efficient. According to Elastifile, the solution it offers is cheaper than those based on magnetic disks or hybrid solutions.
