Google has launched Google for Entrepreneurs, an umbrella for its several programmes and partnerships around the world that support start-ups and entrepreneurs, on its 14th birthday.
Google aims at giving a boost to start-ups by partnering with strong organisations that serve entrepreneurs in local communities. It seeks to make its tools available to entrepreneurs at ground level.
To celebrate its birthday and the spirit of entrepreneurship, Google initiated the first annual Google for Entrepreneurs Week. Called Start-up Weekend, it hosted an event at the Google Ventures Start-up Lab in Mountain View, Calif wherein Bay Area entrepreneurs came together to create their own start-ups in 54 hours.
