Google handing out pink slips for 'simplifying structures'

Google has terminated employees from certain teams - Flutter, Dart and Python. As per the tech giant, the move is meant to "prepare for opportunities ahead".
As per media reports, Google has said that it is simplifying the structures to allow employees to work on innovations while "reducing bureaucracy and layers".
Google is said to be building "growth hubs" in Bangalore, Mexico City and Dublin.
Google's Alphabet Inc. recently posted a total ad revenue of $61,659 million in the quarter ended March 31, 2024.
The tech giant has recorded a net income of $23,662 million.
