IOL Broadband appoints MagnaQuest for its IPTV Project

IOL Broadband, India has signed MagnaQuest Technologies to set up its Customer Management and Billing solution MQSubscribeT for IOL Broadband's IPTV project. The company intends to use this technology to bill VAS like Video on Demand, VoIP, and the billing of regular services.

MagnaQuest Technologies, a customer care and billing solution provider for the video, data and content service providers, has announced its partnership with IOL Broadband, India for providing its MQSubscribeT solutions. With this, IOL can have integrations with network elements for provisioning, rating and billing of multiple services delivered over IP along with billing Value Added Services (VAS) over the network.

Moreover, this contract encompasses IOL's service deployments on their network and deployment of Content Delivery Network (CDN) for MTNL and BSNL and also on future deployments by IOL.

Vijay Debbad, MD, MagnaQuest, said, “I am glad that we have bagged the first project in the emerging domain of IPTV. The specialized knowledge we gained over the experience of implementing solutions for Triple Play services including Video and Data and VoIP domains, has enabled us to get here.”

The company has already launched IPTV services including broadcast TV, video on demand, Broadband Internet, as part of its CDN project with MTNL and intends to launch such services in several cities of the country too. Starting off, MQSubscribeT would be deployed integrated with SeaChange's Video on Demand middleware chosen by IOL.
