In this series titled ‘Know Your Network’, exchange4media seeks to present the known and not so known social networks from around the world.
There are dozens of social networks in the world today. They’re doing different things and have different reach. Some of the networks might not even look like a social network, if you’re just thinking about Facebook, but that’s exactly what Wikipedia is too, when you think about it.
Eskobo – this network is what a tech-guy will call an Ajax desktop. For you and me, that means a start page where you can customise the content to meet your needs, by taking stories from Yahoo!, Boing Boing, Engadget and many other content providers. It’s easy to use, and you can use it to crowdsource your news by looking at Twitter feeds and RSS feeds as well.
