Netflix to release nearly 500 original movies & TV shows by Dec 2018
The streaming network will basically double its original shows and movies by the end of the year. Currently there are roughly 500 Netflix original shows and movies on the streaming service.
Netflix is planning to release around 1,000 original shows and movies which will be available on the streaming service by the end of 2018.
According to reports, almost 500 of those original shows and movies will be released on Netflix between Mid-May through the end of 2018, which is an average of about 60 original shows and movies per month.
Currently there are roughly 500 Netflix original shows and movies on the streaming service now. The streaming network will basically double that by the end of the year.
Ted Sarandos, the streaming network’s Content Chief, shared this information at MoffettNathanson’s Media & Communications Summit 2018. Reports also reveal that at the summit Sarandos said that 85 percent of Netflix’s spending will be on original content, which 90 percent of their viewers watch regularly.
