Capital Foods-owned Smith and Jones has announced the launch of an online dance academy – ‘Dance ka Tadka’. The company has made a series of dance videos showcasing different styles of dance, which has been launched as a YouTube channel, along the lines of a similar initiative by the company to launch a cricket academy during the ICC World Cup.

Aside from YouTube, the videos are also being made available on all other digital platforms such as video on demand on DTH, IPTV and Cable TV, mobile downloads, and also being sold as VCDs and DVDs.

Ajaay Gupta, CMD, Capital Foods, said, “Smith and Jones follows up now on the very successful ‘Cricket ka Tadka’ series with ‘Dance ka Tadka’. Smith and Jones encourages healthy lifestyles by snacking only in moderation and exercising regularly and dancing can be a fun workout. Hopefully we can contribute a little to building a healthy India.”

“Smith and Jones Dance Ka Tadka is a one of its kind example of an Indian brand leveraging ‘content + technology’ in an entertaining and educational fashion to connect with customers,” said Pradeep Chopra founder CEO of Digital Vidya.

“With 3G here, video content is already getting big, and Smith and Jones Dance Ka Tadka is one of the best examples I have seen in a long time, which leverages video in such a neat way,” said Ashish Kashyap, CEO, ibibo.com.
