Hours after PM Modi left his 53+ million Twitter followers guessing about his social media hiatus, the hashtags #IwillAlsoLeave Twitter and #NoModiNoTwitter started trending
Indian PM Narendra Modi sent the internet into a tizzy after he tweeted about quitting Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube on the approaching Sunday. One of the most-followed politicians on Twitter (second only to Barack Obama and Donald Trump), PM Modi made the announcement on Monday, March 2. “Will keep you all posted,” read his Tweet.
PM Modi left his 53+ million followers on Twitter guessing about his strange post after he offered no explanation for his plans to exit. But within hours of his announcement, hashtags #IwillAlsoLeave Twitter and #NoModiNoTwitter started trending.
