Zoom, the conferencing app which has gained popularity due to the current COVID-19 Work From Home norm, has removed the data-sharing code from the app after reports that the platform was sharing user information with Facebook, according to media reports.
The video conferencing service has now rolled out an update for iOS users.
Zoom has now said the 'Login with Facebook' feature was meant to give users a “convenient way” to access the platform.
The app has said that it did not share sensitive information like user names, emails and phone numbers.
