AIBA World Boxing Championship 2011 to air exclusively on Neo Sports

Neo Sports, the all sports channel from the bouquet of Neo Sports Broadcast Pvt Ltd, has acquired the exclusive broadcast rights of the ongoing AIBA World Boxing Championship 2011 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Neo Sports, the all sports channel from the bouquet of Neo Sports Broadcast Pvt Ltd, has acquired the exclusive broadcast rights of the ongoing AIBA World Boxing Championship 2011 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Indian boxer L Devendro Singh (49kg), Commonwealth Games gold medalist Manoj Kumar (64kg), Commonwealth Games bronze-medalist Jai Bhagwan (60kg) and Asian Games gold medalist Vikas Krishnan (69kg) have cemented their place in the quarter finals at AIBA World Championship 2011.

Neo Sports will broadcast the quarter finals, semifinals and the finals of the tournament from October 5 to October 8, 2011.

Commenting on this initiative, Prasana Krishnan, COO, NEO Sports Broadcast Pvt Ltd, said, “At Neo Sports, we continue to invest in marquee international events. Our focus is to identify sports that have a strong Indian representation and this is another step in the right direction. We are expecting a lot of traction as the World Championship will serve as a qualifier for the 2012 London Olympics.”
