Colors unveils the 13 daredevils on ‘Fear Factor – Khatron Ke Khiladi x 3’; show to go on air in Sept

Colors has announced the return of its flagship reality show Garnier Men Deodorant presents ‘Fear Factor – Khatron Ke Khiladi x 3’. The show will be hosted by Priyanka Chopra this time, who will give various dangerous tasks to the 13 daredevils on the show. The destination this year is Brazil. The third season of the show is scheduled to go on air in September 2010.

The latest season of the show promises a triple-treat of thrills and excitement as the stunts get three times more challenging and so does the danger level.

The 13 celebrity ‘Khiladis’ include – choreographer and TV personality Terence Lewis; model and actor Milind Soman; car racer Armaan Ebrahim; award winning filmmaker Abhishek ‘Rock On’ Kapoor; actor and model Dino Morea; actor Manjot Singh of ‘Oye Lucky Lucky Oye’ and ‘Udaan’ fame; actor and national level rugby player Rahul Bose; model and actor Rahul Dev; VJ, actor, comedian and now an author as well, Cyrus Broacha; TV actor Shabbir Ahluwalia; squash champ Ritwik Bhattacharya; TV actor Karan Singh; and actor, model, cricketer and commentator, Angad Bedi.

Speaking about the new action-packed season, Ashvini Yardi, Programming Head, Colors, said, “‘Fear Factor – Khatron Ke Khiladi x 3’ is going to be a notch higher than the last season in terms of the difficulty level of challenges and the danger involved. Also, the format is different now as for the first time we have male celebrities participating in the show.”

On Chopra as the host, Yardi said, “Priyanka will be seen having a lot of fun at the contestants’ expense as she will be a total ‘mastikhor’; she will be completely unpredictable and will pose more challenges for the participating men. At the same time she will be the sole support they will have on the show. Bringing more thrills to the show, she will be performing some daredevil stunts by herself.”

“This season, we are raising all thresholds of endurance, pain and will… where fear is of no consequence. Brazil is my playground and Meu Macho Amigos will be on my turf, living by my rules, playing my game. I know many of these boys, some of them are friends, but as far as I’m concerned, in the ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi x 3’ challenge, nothing else matters but their will to win,” said Chopra.

Garnier Men Deodorant presents ‘Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi x 3’ has been produced once again by format owners, Endemol India.

Speaking about the format of the show, Deepak Dhar, Managing Director, Endemol India, said, “For a show that has already shattered all preconceived notions of fear and has turned celebrities into daredevils, this season had to be something that took the viewers’ experience to the next level. ‘Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi x 3’ is a triple dose of everything from action to stunts and from the contestants to Priyanka Chopra herself.”

‘Fear Factor – Khatron Ke Khiladi’ debuted in July 2008 as one of the first shows on the then newly launched Colors channel. After tasting early success, the show soon built a strong following of regular adventure fanatics who enjoyed the extreme stunts featured on the show. The show’s biggest strength apart from the celeb factor was the fact that all the stunts featured on the show were real, which made it precariously exciting.
