Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar has announced the Dry Ideas creative contest for advertising agencies and amateurs. In its fourth consecutive year, the contest for the first time will be open to entries from amateurs from the creative field.
Part of Dainik Bhaskar’s water conservation campaign ‘Jal Satyagraha’, the contest aims to promote dry Holi through thought-provoking and action oriented creative solutions in the print and radio medium. Every year, gallons of water are wasted while playing Holi, leading to the faster depletion of water resources across the country. The use of chemicals leads to pollution of water.
The contest intends to create awareness about water being a perishable precious resource and the need of the hour to conserve every drop of it.
Sanjeev Kotnala, VP, BrandComm, said, “The contest has garnered immense appreciation and support from the industry during the past few years. Over 65 agencies participated in the contest last year, with 250 creative submissions. Our whole focus is to make individuals take a vow to avoid using wet colours and chemicals and in the process help conserve water.”
Entries would be received between January 21 and February 16, 2009.
My FM is the radio partner in this contest.
