DishTV launches high definition service, Dish Tru HD

DishTV has announced the launch of its high definition (HD) service – Dish Tru HD – on its platform. This service offers a high definition audio-video experience to its viewers. The channels that Dish Tru HD is offering in HD include Zee TV HD, Zee Cinema HD, Discovery HD, National Geographic HD and the FIFA World Cup on ESPN.

HD ready TV sets are being sold in India for some years now, however, the consumers have been unable to enjoy the benefit of HD technology due to lack of HD distribution and HD programming. DishTV provides an end-to-end HD experience from programming to distribution to the decoder at the consumer’s home all in the true HD format.
