Himalee Madurasinghe appointed Chief Executive of LMRB

LMRB (Lanka Market Research Bureau), an affiliate of IMRB International and Sri Lanka’s first independent market research company, has appointed Himalee Madurasinghe as Chief Executive.

LMRB (Lanka Market Research Bureau), an affiliate of IMRB International and Sri Lanka’s first independent market research company, has appointed Himalee Madurasinghe as Chief Executive.

Commenting on Madurasinghe’s appointment, Thomas Puliyel, President, IMRB International, said, “We are very privileged to have a person of Himalee’s capability and dynamism to lead LMRB into the next phase of growth.”

Madurasinghe has over 20 years of work experience, including 14 years in market research at LMRB. She headed the LMRB Household Panel for seven years and has extensive experience on consumer behaviour research. She was appointed the Head of Quantitative Research in 2006 before taking over as the Deputy CEO in 2010.

Discussing her plans for LMRB, Madurasinghe said, “LMRB is planning a range of new services and technological innovations. We plan to set up a specialised unit for Social Research and Shopper Research, use electronic devices to enhance data collection and launch the Target Group Index (TGI - a single source marketing and media survey). This should be available to clients early next year.”
