Hungama Movies will be officially launched in the Middle East at the Intel booth at the Gitex Technology Week 2012.

Speaking on the launch of Hungama Movies in the UAE, Siddhartha Roy, COO, Consumer Business & Allied Services, Hungama, said, “There is a very large South Asian community in the UAE and the Middle East, which demands a quality service that caters to their need to consume Bollywood and Indian content, and with Hungama.com we hope to satiate this need – for both music and movies.”

He further said, “In addition to the United Arab Emirates, we also plan to enter Singapore market in the next three weeks.”

Hungama Movies’ entry into the international arena will offer a catalogue of over 5,000 Bollywood and Indian regional cinema to the NRI and South Asian community in the UAE and the rest of the Middle East. The movies-on-demand storefront will offer HD and SD movie watching experience for a monthly subscription starting at AED 6.99.

Hungama.com launched in India a digital store front, Hungama Movies, in partnership with Intel Insider. The store front offers viewers a selection of Bollywood titles from banners such as Yash Raj Films, T-Series, Reliance Home Video, Ananda Video, Ultra, Shemaroo, Krishna and Kavitalaya. The regional content on the site includes various languages such as Bengali, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu and Tamil.

As an introductory offer, the Hungama Movies service will be offered free for one month to all consumers who buy the Intel Notebook or Ultrabook at the Intel booth at Gitex Technology Week 2012.
