Limca Book of Records launches national quiz

Coca-Cola India has announced the national launch of Limca Book of Records Quiz 2010. The multi-city initiative is being launched in partnership with ‘Know & Grow with Derek’ and involves participation of young students from classes 8 to 12. As part of the initiative, a series of quiz competitions are being organised in 3,500 schools across 100 cities. The quiz competition is divided into four zones – North, South, East and West. The quiz is being organised in three stages – Inter-school level, Semi-Finals and National Finals, from April to December, 2010. Derek O’Brien, renowned quizmaster and founder ‘Know & Grow with Derek’, will host the National Finals.

Commenting on the same, O’Brien said, “Limca Book of Records Quiz is a great platform to impart knowledge, to promote learning and help young minds Know & Grow. In addition, such initiatives help in inspiring and motivating today’s youth. Limca Book of Records Quiz 2009 was immensely successful as students from over 3,000 schools battled it out to be the winners of the National Finals. Taking forward the same excitement, I am are delighted to be associated with Limca Book of Records Quiz 2010 and look forward to some great quizzing action this year.”

For the last 11 years, ‘Know & Grow with Derek’ has been making knowledge interesting and helping people and brands grow. This is done through various media – television, live game shows, and the more traditional way of providing content for books as well as columns for various publications.
