PeoplePerHour registers 15,000 freelancers in one month

Online outsourcing marketplace PeoplePerHour.com, which launched in India in the start of March, has announced today that in one month, they have registered 15,000 freelancers from India, 14 per cent of the total base of freelancers. India is also leading all Asian countries in registered freelancers.

On average, the freelancers working with the website earn at an hourly rate of US $16. Aside from having lots of Indians working as freelancers, Indian SMEs already rank third in usage of the site, and can use it to outsource work on an ad hoc basic while also gaining access to a global talent pool, and for people who would prefer to work from home, represents an employment opportunity, which is flexible enough to meet their requirements.

India ranks 1st among all the Asian countries in terms of registered freelancers, while Asian countries collectively have a share of more than 24 per cent.
